Robot elephants replace live elephants in southern temples

Robot elephants replace live elephants in southern temples

Anyo Route (English), Travel News, 03/03/2023 : This is the first time that a robot elephant will be used instead of a live elephant in a temple in South India. Like a living elephant, he will participate in temple ceremonies.

This is a novel attempt. Temples in South India have the custom of donating elephants or other animals. The elephants on the right become deities and are reared at the behest of temple students. At different times of the year, the elephants participate in the puja parbans and events held in the temple, they are presented in impressive costumes. Elephants also participate in processions.

People's for Ethical Treatment of Animals India or 'PETA' has been protesting against the use of animals in this way for a long time. This time an elephant robot was given to the Irindrijapalli Sri Krishna temple in Thrissur district by the initiative of the animal organization PETA. The 800 kg, 11 feet tall robot elephant will behave like a real elephant.
The name of the robot elephant is Irindrijapalli Raman. A huge crowd has already started gathering in the temple premises to see the robot elephant. Now the real elephants will be free, they will return to their real abode in the lap of green forest.

The Tourism fair (TTF) is going on

Anyo Route, 12/09/2021: The tourism industry was closed for a long time across the country due to Corona situation.  Even the tourism business around the world was closed for almost two years.  But in our country, the bite of the corona has become a little loose and the urge to go for a trip has started.  Tourism businessmen are also starting to get encouraged.

Millions of people in India are directly and indirectly involved in the tourism industry.  But the corona virus has enhanced so much across the country that the tourism business has been shut down.  The tourism industry has probably suffered the most in the country.  But this time, little by little, the tourism industry has started to turn around.

The Shardiya festival is just coming and knocking at the door.  Bengali people use to start tourism from Durga Puja holidays. Then comes winter.  This is the season of travel.  Hotels have already opened in various places.

But due to the continuous lock down, many people do not have much money.  Many have lost their jobs.  But in spite of that, Bengali people have to travel.

Travel agencies have also started preparations to quench the thirst for this extraordinary travel habit of Bengalis.  The Travel Fair (TTF) is underway at the Netaji Indoor Stadium in Kolkata, which started last Friday.  Today is the last day.  Various state tourism departments of the country have also come forward with tourism offers.  Seeing the crowds at the tourist fair, it does not seem that the corona virus has put so much worry to Bengalis.  Even travel-thirsty Bengalis are not so worried about the third wave of corona.
