Rajasthan Part 2

Domestic Trip

Anyo Route English, Rajasthan part 2, - 24/12/2019 : There are many things you must see, it is best if an auto rickshaw or car can be booked for a day and seeing the site;
Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan and the largest city in that state; The city was built by King Jai Singh (II) in 1727;King Jai Singh's capital was in Amer city, under pressure from both the population growth and the water crisis, he transferred his capital from Amer to Jaipur.

A Bengali architect named Vidyadhar Bhattacharya was the main engineer and designer of  Rajasthan's capital, Jaipur City. Under his supervision, Jaipur was made, maintaing of Vastu  and engineering art. Jaipur is named after King Jai Singh. Most of the buildings in the whole city are pink so this city is called as 'Pink City';

So, let's start with site seeing. The city palace was built by Maharaja Sowai Jai Singh (II) in 1727,
when he shifted the capital from Amer to Jaipur. There are a total of three entrance arcades in the palace, one is the Uday Pole near Jaleb Chak, the other is the Virendra Pole near the Jantar Mantar and the other is the Tripolia (Pole means the arcade);

If you enter through Uday pole, you will reach at Sabha Nivas, The general  people used to meet to the King at Sava Nivas (Dewani Khas); These halls are worth a visit; Pritam Niwas Chowk was also the synagogue of that time, and from there, there would be the Riddhi Siddhi Pole, the Siddhidata Temple, where ordinary people could come and worship in the temple. Also near Peacock Gate, Peacocks used to come here, where there is a Vishnu temple.

Chandra Mahal is the oldest palace in the City Palace. Take a look at this magnificent seven-storeyed palace, Sukh Niwas, Rang Mahal, Chitra Niwas, Sri Niwas and the crowned temple at the top. In fact, every part of the palace is really attractive; In the City Palace there is another meeting hall called Mubarak Hall, and a clock tower.

Jaipur's Hawa Mahal has become an icon here. Located on one end of the City Palace, this palace built of red and pink sandstone is actually the Queen's Palace; It is also called Shis Mahal; Maharaja Sowai Pratap Singh built this Hawa Mahal. The whole palace is five floors in total. It is also allowed to go upstairs; On the inside side of the Hawa Mahal there is history and the real world of the busy Gheenji Jaipur city is seen from the balconies of the palace.

Near the Hawa Mahal or the City Palace there is a Jantar Mantar, of course. The mantle of the beast is one of the unequal signs of modern astronomy. It was the discovery of Maharaja  Jai Singh himself. At that time, with this architecture, it was clear that the sunrise, sunset, tidal wave, taking the sun, taking the moon, the position of a planet, the position of a satellite or zodiac,

That is, in addition to astronomy, astrology could be worked from this architecture, counting every half second through the sun clock; And Maharaja Jai Singh deserves the salute of the whole world as the inventor of this Jantar Mantar. In our country, there are five Jantar Mantars have been  built besides Jaipur, those are at  Delhi, Varanasi, Mathura and Ujjain.

Domestic Trip

The Trips, Rajasthan Part - 1 : The joy of visiting Rajasthan in winter is different. The temperature remains lower through out the winter season here. The visit in Rajasthan means to view the Indian history by reshuffling its pages.  .In summer it is very much difficult to enjoy Rajasthan just due to unbearable hotness.  So, winter is the beast season to travel in Rajasthan.

Rajasthan is the place of  kings. The kings here were called Rana, yet the name of this state is Rajasthan rather than Ranasthan. There are Palaces, Forts, Havelis, Monuments Pillars in various places of the state. Each of them has their  different histories.

Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan. The name of this state was Rajputana during the British period, Rajputana was called as the abode of Rajputs. On 9th March 1949, the rule of all the rulers of this region was abolished and Rajasthan was renamed and joined with independent India. The northern states of Rajasthan are Punjab and Haryana. To the east is Uttar Pradesh,to the south is Madhya Pradesh, and to the south and south west is the state of Gujarat.

The Aravalli mountain range extends from the southwestern part of Rajasthan to the northeast at about 850 km, with Mount Abu in the southwestern part and the  Desert Thar covering the western part of the state.  rossing  the  Desert Thar, there is a  borders Pakistan, that is, the western boundary of Rajasthan. The Looney River flows through the  Desert Thar.

During the winter season, the tourist industry is one of the major source of income of the Rajasthan government due to the huge presence  of domestic and foreign tourists in Rajasthan. Since the capital of the state is Jaipur, we will start the tour through Jaipur.

How to go: Almost all major cities of India are well connected by road, rail and  by flights with the pink city of Jaipur. You can start your trip from Jaipur side or Jodhpur side to cover all major tourism points in Rajasthan. Jaipur can also be reached from Delhi. Distance from Delhi to Jaipur by road is about 268 km, it takes about 5-6  hours by the car. Also, it is easy to fly from any other airports to visit to  Jaipur; New Delhi, Agra and Jaipur have developed the 'Golden Triangle' in terms of tourism. While traveling to Delhi, many people use to visit at Golden Triangle.

Jaipur city has many places to visit, it can take almost 4 days to see all of them, but time is very limited for the general tourists and for that reason it would be prudent to visit Jaipur for a couple of days and travel to other destinations in Rajasthan. So we will see the Amber Palace, Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Jalmahal, Nahargarh Fort, Birla Temple, Shis Mahal, Man Sagar Lake, Sisodia Ranibagh, etc. in Jaipur. We will briefly discuss the rest of the notes.                                     (To be continued)
