During the Hornbill Festival, all the hotels in the capital Kohima are packed.  Even in Dimapur, which is a little far away, it is difficult to get a hotel room.  Nagaland is full of tourists at this time.

But the Nagaland government could not reach a decision on whether it would be right to hold the Hornbill Festival this year in Corona.  Ordinary people of Nagaland look forward to this festival throughout the year.  Corona's violence is not going to be left out either.  All in all, this year's Hornbill Festival in Nagaland is swayed by uncertainty.

Chief Minister Nefiu Rio is the chairman of the Nagaland Hornbill Festival Committee.  He also could not reach any conclusion.

The Hornbill Festival is scheduled for December this year.  Although at the moment the crew and artists participating in the festival do not know whether the festival will be at all this year!  Although they are preparing well.  Chief Minister Rio has called a meeting tomorrow with representatives of all the tribes of Nagaland.  The meeting will decide whether the 22nd Hornbill Festival will be held in Nagaland this year or whether it will be postponed due to Corona!

Millions of people in India are directly and indirectly involved in the tourism industry.  But the corona virus has enhanced so much across the country that the tourism business has been shut down.  The tourism industry has probably suffered the most in the country.  But this time, little by little, the tourism industry has started to turn around.

The Shardiya festival is just coming and knocking at the door.  Bengali people use to start tourism from Durga Puja holidays. Then comes winter.  This is the season of travel.  Hotels have already opened in various places.

But due to the continuous lock down, many people do not have much money.  Many have lost their jobs.  But in spite of that, Bengali people have to travel.

Travel agencies have also started preparations to quench the thirst for this extraordinary travel habit of Bengalis.  The Travel Fair (TTF) is underway at the Netaji Indoor Stadium in Kolkata, which started last Friday.  Today is the last day.  Various state tourism departments of the country have also come forward with tourism offers.  Seeing the crowds at the tourist fair, it does not seem that the corona virus has put so much worry to Bengalis.  Even travel-thirsty Bengalis are not so worried about the third wave of corona.
